SRSAC Sub-Centre Jaipur

 

The State Remote Sensing Application Centre (SRSAC) Sub-Centre in Jaipur is an extension of the Jodhpur-based SRSAC under the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of Rajasthan, established to advance geospatial technology applications. It is located within the IGPRS Campus in Jaipur (at first floor) and focuses on operationalizing remote sensing activities in the state of Rajasthan.

Key details about the SRSAC Sub-Centre Jaipur include:

Location: IGPRS Campus, Jaipur.

Establishment: Established via the Budget Announcement 2024-25 under the Department of Science and Technology (DST).

Key Personnel: Mr. Rajeev Jain, Technical Director is heading and responsible for the establishment and operation of the sub-center, reporting to the Secretary, S&T.

Functions: The center focuses on remote sensing, GIS, and related geospatial applications and support various line departments for GIS and RS based application projects. Also carrying out various projects in collaboration with NRSC, Hyderabad, SAC Ahmedabad, MNCFC New Delhi, SLUSI, New Delhi, NPCIL Mumbai etc.

Reporting Structure: Mr. Vijay Kumar Saxena  - Deputy Director, Sh. Tarun Bhatnagar- Deputy Director, Sushil Kumar Prajapat – Programmer and supporting staff.

The sub-center aims to enhance the use of geospatial technology in Rajasthan for development work.
